Virtual Servers

Our Virtual Servers are virtual machines hosted in our datacentre locations in London City and Edinburgh. Resources are allocated based on instance type, defined by virtual CPU and memory allocations. 

Virtual Machine Instance Types

Virtual machines are available in three instance series, each optimised for different workloads:

  • General Purpose: Balanced vCPU and memory allocations for versatile workloads.

    • XD2as: 2 vCPUs, 8 GB memory

    • XD4as: 4 vCPUs, 16 GB memory

    • XD8as: 8 vCPUs, 32 GB memory

    • XD16as: 16 vCPUs, 64 GB memory

    • XD32as: 32 vCPUs, 128 GB memory

  • Compute Intensive: Higher vCPU-to-memory ratio for compute-heavy tasks.

    • XC4as: 4 vCPUs, 8 GB memory

    • XC8as: 8 vCPUs, 16 GB memory

    • XC16as: 16 vCPUs, 32 GB memory

    • XC32as: 32 vCPUs, 64 GB memory

  • Memory Intensive: Higher memory allocations for memory-demanding applications.

    • XE2as: 2 vCPUs, 16 GB memory

    • XE4as: 4 vCPUs, 32 GB memory

    • XE8as: 8 vCPUs, 64 GB memory

    • XE16as: 16 vCPUs, 128 GB memory

    • XE20as: 20 vCPUs, 160 GB memory

    • XE32as: 32 vCPUs, 256 GB memory

Managed Disks

We offer managed disks with allocated space and IOPS, presented as directly attached storage volumes to your virtual machines. Managed Disks are are provided from our SSD storage platform.

Managed Disk Specifications

Managed disks are available in multiple configurations:

  • P6-R: 64 GB, 300 provisioned IOPS, 4375 maximum IOPS at 4K blocks

  • P10-R: 128 GB, 625 provisioned IOPS, 4375 maximum IOPS at 4K blocks

  • P15-R: 256 GB, 1375 provisioned IOPS, 4375 maximum IOPS at 4K blocks

  • P20-R: 512 GB, 2875 provisioned IOPS, 4375 maximum IOPS at 4K blocks

  • P30-R: 1 TiB, 6250 provisioned IOPS, 4375 maximum IOPS at 4K blocks
